The “Semana do Cinema” promotion takes place between the 9th and 14th of February
Manaus (AM) — To celebrate the magic of the cinematic experience on the big screen, from tomorrow (9) to the 14th, at Cinépolis at Manaus Plaza Shopping, another edition of “Cinema Week” will take place. At the opportunity, tickets will be available with a single price of R$ 10 and the combos with popcorn and drink will also have special prices.
Between the 9th and the 14th, tickets for the traditional 2D and 3D rooms and Macro XE at Cinépolis will have a single price of R$10 and the combo with medium salted popcorn and two drinks will have a special price of R$29.90 . Tickets can be purchased online, at the box office and through self-service (ATM). As for the combos at the bombonière, they can be purchased separately, without the need to buy the linked ticket.
The programming will be varied, with horror, musical, comedy, romance, drama, among other genres. The proposal is for “Cinema Week” to become part of the programming of Brazilian exhibitors in two periods of the year.
During “Cinema Week”, there will also be the premiere of “Pearl”, Ti West’s film starring Mia Goth. Sequel to X – A Marca da Morte, released in 2022, in the United States, Pearl will have its debut on Brazilian soil this Thursday (9).
“With this campaign we want to celebrate the presence of the public and further democratize access to the magic that only the cinematographic experience provides in the country”, comments the president of FENEEC, Lúcio Otoni.
In the first Brazilian edition of “Semana do Cinema”, held between September 15 and 21, 2022, there was a 296% growth in audience and 127% in income, according to a Comscore survey. In all, more than 3.3 million viewers were involved in the campaign.
The initiative follows a worldwide trend of promoting, in a festive atmosphere, the magic of the cinematographic experience, as is already traditional in the United States with National Cinema Day, and in Spain, with La Fiesta del Cine.
The campaign, conceived by the National Federation of Cinematographic Exhibitors (FENEEC), has the support of the Brazilian Association of Cinematographic Exhibitors Multiplex Operators (ABRAPLEX).
