Gabriela Cid, wife of lieutenant colonel and former aide-de-camp to the Presidency Mauro Cid, suggested that Jair Bolsonaro (PL) guided the conversation so that truck drivers invaded Brasília in protest against the result of the elections won by Lula (PT).
This Friday (15), Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the STF (Federal Supreme Court), raised the secrecy of the Federal Police report with analysis of the content found on Cid and Gabriela’s cell phones. The military has been arrested since the beginning of last month by determination of Moraes, as part of an inquiry into the activities of digital militias.
On November 2, 2022, three days after the election, Gabriela exchanged messages with Ticiana Villas Bôas, daughter of former Army commander Eduardo Villas Bôas. The two talk about the protests promoted by Bolsonaro supporters in different parts of the country.
Villas Bôas’ daughter commented that the Brazilian Army “had to send someone to talk to the truck drivers’ heads and say what (sic) their claim should be”.
“They’re talking about federal intervention,” replied Gabriela. “But it has to be impeachment, new elections with printed votes.”
Ticiana said that would not happen, that until “further order the thing [o processo eleitoral] was democratic” and that the consequences of using Article 142 of the Constitution, which defines the role of the Armed Forces, would be very bad.
And he went on to say that truck drivers had to stop, “without obstructing [estradas]”, insisting that someone would have to talk to them, guide them.
“Yes! That’s what the president asked for. And I think that everyone who can has to come to Bsb [sigla em referência a Brasília]”, said Gabriela. “Invading Brasilia like on the 7th of September [setembro] and this time the president with all that strength will act.”
