Christmas Parade delights residents of the South Zone of Manaus

President of the FMS, Emerson Castro, highlighted the importance of the Christmas Parade for children who live in the city

Another Christmas Parade was held on Tuesday night (12), this time, in the South Zone of Manaus. The parade started at Prosamim, in the Presidente Vargas neighborhood, and continued through the streets 5 de Setembro, Rio Branco (in front of the São Raimundo headquarters), Lourival Muniz, Central, Rego Barros, Prosamim do São Raimundo, ending at the edge of the neighborhood Glory.

The president of the Manaus Solidária Fund (FMS), Emerson Castro, highlighted the importance of the Christmas Parade for the city’s small residents.

“The children are excited, they take photos with the characters, they enjoy the moment, which is unique to them. And, it is gratifying to be able to see the smile of a family and a child who have never had the opportunity to witness something like this”,

highlighted Castro.

Erick Renan Mumbassa spoke of the excitement of hosting the Christmas Parade in his neighborhood and congratulated Mayor David Almeida for the initiative of taking the Christmas action to all areas of the city.

“It is very gratifying that the community is receiving Natal das Águas, the population deserves it. It’s a joy to see children’s smiles when Santa Claus passes by on the street. Mayor David Almeida is to be congratulated when he chose to bring the Christmas Parade to the neighborhoods”,

he emphasized.

To date, the Christmas Parade, which is part of the “Natal das Águas – Hope that is renewed” program, has already covered six areas of the city, covering 29 neighborhoods visited. The expectation is that, by the end of the month, more neighborhoods will be served by the event, thus bringing the magic of “Natal das Águas” to all residents of the city.
