The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) confirmed that it will hold the draw for the matches in the first phase of the Copa do Brasil this Tuesday (02), in a ceremony scheduled for 3pm, at the entity’s headquarters, in Rio de Janeiro. The event, which will be broadcast on CBF TV, will bring together 80 clubs and will define the 40 clashes in this initial phase of the competition and the home teams for the second phase matches.
The Copa do Brasil will be played by 92 clubs. The 12 previously classified enter the competition in the third phase. In this initial phase, the duels will be played in a single game, led by the team in a lower position in the ranking. The winner of the match automatically qualifies for the next phase, and the visiting team has the advantage of a draw.
The 80 teams in the first phase were divided into ten pots, which will follow the following order of matches (A x E, B x F, C x G and D x H). The first phase should take place between February 21st and 28th.

Pot B: Juventude-RS, Sport-PE, CRB-AL, Criciúma-SC, Sampaio Corrêa-MA, Tombense-MG, Ituano-SP, Operário-PR, ABC-RN and Remo-PA.
Pot C: Botafogo-SP, Brusque-SC, Paysandu-PA, Volta Redonda-RJ, Ypiranga-RS, Confiança-SE, Ferroviário-CE, Brasiliense-DF, América-RN and Aparecidense-GO.
Pot D: Amazonas-AM, São Raimundo-RR, Jacuipense-BA, Tocantinópolis-TO, Portuguesa-RJ, Retrô-PE, Caxias-RS, Cascavel-PR, São Bernardo-SP and Nova Iguaçu-RJ.
Pot E: ASA-AL, Real Noroeste-ES, União Rondonópolis-MT, Moto Club-MA, Maringá-PR, Sousa-PB, Fluminense-PI, Águia de Marabá-PA, Cianorte-PR and Marcílio Dias-SC;
Pot F: Operário-MT, Humaitá-AC, Trem-AP, São Luiz-RS, Treze-PB, Operário-MS, Porto Velho-RO, Anápolis-GO, Rio Branco-AC and Iguatu-CE;
Pot G: Athletic-MG, Nova Venécia-ES, Maranhão-MA, Itabaiana-SE, Costa Rica-MS, Murici-AL, River-PI, GAS-RR, Villa Nova-MG and Ji-Paraná-RO;
Pot H:Real Brasília-DF, Manauara-AM, Independente-AP, Itabuna-BA, Petrolina-PE, Audax-RJ, Olaria-RJ, Água Santa-SP, Portuguesa Santista-SP and Capital-TO.
The 12 teams that will enter the third phase are: Ceará-CE, Vitória-BA, Goiás-GO, São Paulo-SP, Fluminense-RJ, Palmeiras-SP, Botafogo-RJ, Flamengo-RJ, Atlético-MG, Grêmio- RS, Red Bull Bragantino-SP and Athletico-PR. The Morumbi team is the current champion of the tournament.
The prize values have also been defined by the entity, being the same as in 2023:
Champion: R$70 million
Runner-up: R$30 million
Semifinals: R$9 million
Quarter finals: R$4.3 million
Round of 16: R$3.3 million
Third phase: R$2.1 million
Second phase: R$ 1.7 million (Series A), R$ 1.4 million (Series B), R$ 900 thousand (other clubs)
First phase: R$ 1.4 million (Series A), R$ 1.25 million (Series B) and R$ 750 thousand (other clubs)
