Next Thursday (14), the Chamber of Deputies will hold a solemn session in honor of Luiz Gushiken, former minister of the Communications Secretariat of the Lula government and one of the founders of the PT.
The request to hold the session, which will take place at 3pm, was authored by deputy Arlindo Chinaglia (PT-SP). In the document, the parliamentarian highlights the trajectory of Gushiken, who left the Lula government in November 2006 amid allegations of the Mensalão case.
In 2012, his name was excluded from the process by the PGR (Attorney General’s Office) due to lack of evidence. In the same year, Gushiken was also acquitted by the STF (Supreme Federal Court).
On the 18th, the Perseu Abramo Foundation launched the book “A Nova Ordem Luiz Gushiken” at Alesp (Legislative Assembly of São Paulo), in honor of the former minister.
The work, organized by journalist Fernanda Otero, brings together memories of 67 authors, including Lula, who was a personal friend of Gushiken.
Also in the book are the president of BNDES (National Bank for Economic and Social Development), Aloizio Mercadante, former president Dilma Rousseff, councilor Eduardo Suplicy, former minister José Dirceu, among others. The work will also be launched in Recife and Indaiatuba (SP).
