Cetam opens registrations for technical courses and specializations with more than 3 thousand vacancies in AM

Interested parties can register from this Thursday (25th) until February 5th

Manaus (AM) – Registration for technical courses and specializations at the Amazonas Technological Education Center (Cetam), available for more than 50 municipalities in Amazonas, begins this Thursday (25th) and continues until February 5th. In total, 3,500 vacancies will be made available, 1,145 for the capital and 2,355 for the interior of the state.

Registration is free and can be done through the Permanent Competition Commission (Copec) website: www.concursoscopec.com.br. To participate, candidates must have completed high school and be 18 years old at the time of registration.

In total, 52 municipalities will be included in this first offer in 2024. The selection process will be carried out through an analysis of high school transcripts, based on grades in Portuguese Language and Mathematics.

Cetam will offer the Industrial Automation course, aimed at serving Industry 4.0 at the Manaus Industrial Pole (PIM). And, still in the capital, the Galileia School of Professional Education will offer the Nursing Technician course for the first time, a demand that came from the community.

For the primary sector, the municipality will offer courses to communities located in inland municipalities, such as the district of Santo Antônio do Matupi, in Manicoré (390 kilometers from Manais), which will receive the Agricultural Technician course.

Another novelty for the interior of the state is the unprecedented offer of the Hemotherapy Technician course in the municipality of Coari (363 kilometers from Manaus), which recently saw the installation of a Hemonucleus in the city. As well as the welding course aimed at residents of the municipality of Iranduba (28 kilometers from Manaus), where there is the Juruá Shipyard, which manufactures large vessels in the state.

“Cetam is innovating by reaching out to communities knowing what they need so that we can take the courses. This is the case in the municipality of Iranduba, where we formed a partnership with Estaleiro Juruá to take the welding course and, at the end of it, people can be employed. The other new feature is the 4.0 technology course to assist PIM”,

said the CEO of Cetam, Fábio Henrique dos Santos.

Qualification

Cetam courses create opportunities for many people in the market and work. Student Ian Kevin de Sousa, 29, has been taking the electronics technical course at the Benjamin Constant Institute (IBC/Cetam), since last year. He already works in the field and says that the training is improving his knowledge in the area.

“Since the beginning of the course I have acquired a lot of knowledge, mainly due to the fact that when I arrived here my knowledge was almost zero, so in that time I have already improved. Nowadays I can do a repair on a board; recognize a component; identify a problem on a board. This has contributed a lot to my career.”

Indigenous Nursing Technician

In addition to regular technical courses, the Amazonas Technological Education Center (Cetam) also offers a mid-level technical course in Nursing for indigenous people in Manaus.

On December 12, 2023, Cetam and the State Foundation of Indigenous Peoples of Amazonas (Fepiam) signed a technical cooperation agreement to qualify indigenous people and promote social inclusion through the offering of strategic professional qualification courses.

To enroll in the technical course, candidates must have the Administrative Register of Indigenous Birth (Raní) or Ethnic-Racial Self-Declaration signed by the Indigenous Leadership of the community to which they belong. They must also have completed high school and be 18 years old at the time of registration.
