Cetam opens registrations for PSS for new teachers; find out how to participate

Process carried out by Cetam, through Copec, remains open until January 6th

This Tuesday morning (2), the State Department of Education and School Sports opened registrations for the Simplified Selection Process (PSS) for new teachers. Interested candidates have until January 6th to submit their application online, directly on the portal www.concursoscopec.com.br.

Notices No. 01 (Regular, Special Education, Mediated by Technology and Prison System) and No. 02 (Indigenous Education) provide more than 3,600 vacancies for teachers, with a workload of up to 40 hours, who will work in schools of the state network, the capital and the interior, in the 2024 school year.

According to the president of the PSS 2024 Commission, Marilene Remigio, in the first hours of the opening of the process, more than three thousand simultaneous registrations were carried out, which caused slowness in the system, however, it returned to normal in the morning.

“We had many accesses at the same time, and now the system is working normally,” said the president.

The Simplified Selection Process 2024 (PSS/2024) by municipality, community and prison system is carried out by Cetam, through the Permanent Competition Commission (Copec). Interior in focus

In total, 3,658 thousand vacancies will be made available, 3,479 for the interior of the state and 179 for the capital. Marilene Remigio highlighted that the greatest demand for vacancies is in the interior as a large part of the vacancies in the capital were filled by candidates nominated in the years 2020, 2021 and 2022 from the 2018 public competition.

“In this sense, we also have notice number 02, which only covers Indigenous Education, in communities in the interior of the state, highlighting this demand”, highlighted the president of the PSS 2024 Commission.

Process

The final result of the competition analysis will approve the candidates classified in up to 25 times the number of vacancies offered per subject, creating a reserve register for future temporary hiring, in order to fill the demand for vacancies in state schools throughout Amazonas. The result and final approval follow the schedule specified in the notices.

In 2023, more than 1,100 new education professionals joined the Amazonas state education network, through approval in a public competition and PSS. The Government of Amazonas, through the State Department of Education and School Sports, in order to guarantee the provision of quality education for students in Amazonas, invested in strengthening the number of education professionals with the call for 299 approved candidates in a public competition in the 2018 notice and 839 selected in PSS 2022.
