CCJR approves Bill that creates the Center for Interpreters of the Brazilian Sign Language

Manaus (AM) – The Constitution, Justice and Writing Commission (CCJR) of the Manaus City Council (CMM) approved, this Wednesday (2nd), in a meeting after the Plenary Session, Bill 158/2023, authored by councilor Professor Samuel ( PL), which establishes the Center for Interpreters of the Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) for people with deafness and guide-interpreters for the deaf and blind.
The Central will be destined to supply any municipal body, when necessary, with professionals capable of intermediating the communication between the disabled person and the other people with whom he needs to communicate. It will also be able to provide simultaneous video-call transmission technology, enabling service in pounds.
Other projects
The CCJR also analyzed three other matters, which also received a favorable opinion, the PL 138/2023 of councilor João Carlos (Republicans) that establishes October 5 as Municipal Day of Consciousness of the First Vote; 100/2023 by Councilor Captain Carpê (Republicans) creating the Municipal Public Safety Week; and 47/2023 of councilor Fransuá (PV) which provides for the requirement of the Integrity Program in companies that contract with the Public Administration.
