CBF sees lobbying “dispute” by former players for Ancelotti and Jorge Jesus

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has seen, in recent days, a “dispute” lobbying former players for two names to occupy the position of coach of the Brazilian national team.
Ronaldo Fenômeno, Cafu and Kaká have been working for Carlo Ancelottiwhose negotiation is progressing positively.
Julio Cesar, Juan and Savio, more recently, started to make an effort to Jorge Jesus gain weight in the preference of President Ednaldo Rodrigues.
Carlo Ancelotti remains a priority target for the Brazilian national team. Talks advanced last week, after Kaká entered the negotiation, who even became a strong candidate to assume the post of director of the CBF;
Linked to Real Madrid until June 2024, the Italian coach was initially approached even before the World Cup in Qatar, when he showed himself willing to listen to the new project of the selection from 2023, as UOL revealed exclusively on the 12th of December;
Ronaldo Fenômeno was the first former heavyweight player to mess with Ancelotti’s name in the confederation. As the talks progressed, the option began to have the support of Cafu and, especially, Kaká, both of whom were managed by the Italian at Milan.
The idea of having Jorge Jesus as Tite’s replacement was put internally at the CBF through Portuguese businessman Bruno Macedo and began to take shape with Julio Cesar, an idol from Flamengo, with whom Jesus worked at Benfica.
Former national team and also Flamengo players, such as Juan and Savio, have also joined in favor of the Portuguese coach, who is now at Fenerbahce and had great prominence in Brazil, from 2019 to 2020, having been champion of the Brasileirão and Libertadores ;
Internally, people close to Ednaldo Rodrigues, president of the CBF, confirm that Jorge Jesus has been much talked about in recent days.
THE POSTURE(S) OF CARLO ANCELOTTI
Carlo Ancelotti has publicly said more than once that, if it’s up to him alone, he will fulfill his entire contract with Real Madrid, whose agreement is valid until June 2024.
However, behind the scenes, the Italian coach authorized his representatives to negotiate with the CBF. Although there is still no agreement, the conversations are at a positive stage, to the point that, for example, it has already been discussed until the assembly of the new technical commission, which would have the son Davide Ancelotti as an assistant.
JORGE JESUS AND THE SELECTION
Jorge Jesus decided not to renew with Fenerbahce, with whom he only has a contract until June 2023, and has already told people close to him that he is “crazy” to take over the Brazilian national team.
The Portuguese coach even agrees to leave Turkish football right now to take over the position left by Tite, even making himself available to command the team on the Fifa Date of March (between the 20th and 28th). He knows, however, that he is still behind Carlo Ancelotti and also Luis Enrique and Zidane in the CBF preference.
RAMON MENEZES AS INTERIM
South American champion with the Brazilian under-20 team, Ramon Menezes appears as a strong option to be the interim coach of the main team, while the CBF does not officially close the replacement of Tite.
