The president of the CBF, Ednaldo Rodriguesthanked this Tuesday for the declarations of the Italian Carlo Ancelotti in defense of Vinícius Junior and against racism in Spanish stadiums and did not hide that he considers him “one of the best coaches in the world” and the “ideal person” who would “fit” in charge of the Brazilian team.
“All those who took a firm stand against racism after the episode suffered by Vinícius Júnior deserved the applause of all Brazilians. In the case of Ancelotti even more so. There is admiration for his work and conduct. He took a stand and asked to speak against the racism so that it is frowned upon. I sent him a message thanking him for his words”, said the leader in the presentation of a friendly match between Brazil and Spain.
He did not hide the CBF’s interest in having Ancelotti as coach, after months waiting for the season to end and for the Italian to clarify his situation at Real Madrid, a club with which he has another year on his contract.
“He’s one of the best coaches in the world, it’s not discrimination against others. And it’s not just because he’s a winner”, said Ednaldo.
“He is highly valued also by the words of all the players he manages. He is the ideal person. He is a great group manager. The athletes who trained with him say he is the best coach of their career and makes the new ones grow and I would like to to have a coach like Ancelotti. I understand that he is one of the best coaches in the world and he would fit in with Brazil, which is one of the best teams in the world”, he said openly, showing interest in the Real Madrid coach.
