A community cat became a tourist attraction in Poland and received a five-star rating on Google Maps.

Gacek lives in a small house on Kaszubska Street in the city of Szczecin and is looked after by local residents and merchants.

The chubby black and white fur cat became famous after appearing in a documentary in 2020. People who watched the recording started visiting Gacek and registered the place as a tourist attraction on the Google search service.

In addition to giving a five-star rating, fans make very positive comments about the cat.

“It was worth traveling three hours to feel ignored by him,” wrote one tourist.

“I’ve been passing this place for years. Gacek likes to go his own way, but sometimes he lets himself be petted,” said one resident.

However, the plump body of the cat, which received the nickname “King of Kaszubska Street”, has worried its admirers.

“The kitten is in good condition and is loved by everyone. He just needs to lose some weight,” commented one woman.

To prevent people from giving Gacek too many treats, those responsible for the kitten have put a sign next to his kennel. In the notice, passers-by are asked to leave food only in sealed packages, so that they can decide what and when to give the feline later.

“I’m happy to pose for photos, but please don’t pet me while I’m napping,” the sign adds.
