Charity event for the Foundation for the Support of People with Disabilities will be held at the Center

Manaus (AM) — “Banda do Cipriano”, performed by the bar of the same name, will take place on February 3rd, at the junction of Ferreira Pena and Avenida Ayrão, in the center of Manaus, from 4pm. The charity event will promote a carnival parade with the participation of local artists, such as Adriano Arcanjo and Júnior Rodrigues, playing carnival marches and traditional samba.

The purpose of this festival goes beyond the celebration of Carnival. Bar do Cipriano is committed to social responsibility, and therefore the event will collect powdered milk and diapers (sizes: L, GG, XGG and Geriatric P and M), which will be donated to the People Support Foundation with Disabilities (FADA), a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting inclusion and offering support to people with disabilities in Manaus.

The event has the institutional support of OSC Valendo Economy Criativa. Opening the musical program, the event presents Dr. Edson’s Band. There will also be an artistic exhibition by caricaturist J. Mendonça who portrays, in a comical way, the faithful regulars of the bar, including the late Cipriano.

Art and Solidarity

Since 2010, Cipriano’s bohemian class has contributed to solidarity events helping philanthropic institutions in Manaus such as the Casa do Idoso São Vicente de Paulo, the NGO Raio de Sol, Cáritas Arquidiocesana de Manaus, the Janell Doyle shelter, the Monte Salém shelter, in addition to of Venezuelan families. In January 2016, Bar do Cipriano was declared Cultural and Intangible Historical Heritage of Amazonas.
