Minister Cármen Lúcia, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), voted this Thursday (4) to make defendants over 250 accused of alleged involvement in the acts of January 8 in Brasilia, in the virtual plenary trial that began on Wednesday (3). She joins Minister Dias Toffoli who accompanied the vote of rapporteur Alexandre de Moraes, who accepted the complaints presented by the Attorney General’s Office (PGR).

With that, the voting score is 3 to 0 and still depends on the votes of seven other ministers. The session in the virtual plenary runs until next Monday (8).

The magistrates analyze the inquiries that judge the alleged intellectual authors (4921) and the executors (4922) of the acts of vandalism that resulted in the invasion and depredation of the headquarters of the Three Powers.

This is the third block trial of those denounced by the PGR. In all, the STF has already convicted, by majority vote, 300 people. In all, the PGR has already presented 1,390 formal accusations in the investigations, 239 of which are related to the core of executors, 1,150 in the core of initiators and one in the core that investigates the alleged omission of public authorities in the episode.
