Caio André confirms the third edition of the Citizen Chamber for September 14 and 15

The third edition of the Citizen’s Chamber project, promoted by the Manaus City Council (CMM), is confirmed for the 14th and 15th of September, in the north zone of the capital. This time the action will take place at the State Center for Coexistence of the Padre Pedro Vignola Family, located on Tupinambá Street, Cidade Nova neighborhood, from 8am to 5pm. Added to the two previous editions, more than 17,000 services have already been provided to the population.

The Citizen’s Chamber was conceived by the current president of the CMM, councilor Caio André (Podemos), aiming to bring the municipal parliament closer to the city’s neighborhoods. The services are free and made available through partnerships with bodies and entities, both public and private.

Caio André, stated that the third edition intends to reach a public record, repeating the success of the last actions that took place in the east and south zones. For him, the Citizen’s Chamber provides basic services, but which end up being constant demands of the Manaus population.

“It’s a way we found to take services such as citizenship actions, health, referrals to the job market, professional qualification and many other activities to the people who need it most. In addition, it is an opportunity to see the needs of that area up close, listening to residents and holding popular tribunes to determine the demands of the population”

said Gaius.

Third edition

For the third edition, according to the director of Special Projects at CMM, André Galvão, the idea is to maintain the number of services on the list offered in the last Citizen Chamber, when the population had access to more than 100 free activities.

He points out that the technical team is engaged in meetings with partners and studying the structure to be made available at the Citizen Chamber. The location and ease of access are positive points cited by André Galvão for the next edition.

“All this is studied with the team. We studied the location, access, accessibility and we found the one where the population from the north zone will be able to arrive calmly”

he stated.

For the third edition, the rotating offices of councilors and the People’s Tribune will be maintained to receive demands from residents of the neighborhood. Still according to the director, the novelty for the Citizen’s Chamber in the north zone includes physical activities.

“In addition to the schedule of attendance, Tribuna Popular, meetings with councilors together with the population, we must have a sports program with zumba classes, rhythm classes, functional training classes, which will take place during the two days of the event ”

The two editions of the Citizen’s Chamber project, promoted by the Manaus City Council (CMM), totaled more than 17,000 services offered free of charge to the population of the capital.

In the first edition of the Citizen’s Chamber, held at the Carlos Zamith Municipal Stadium, in the east zone, the number of actions resulted in 8.3 thousand attendances through the 30 services available. The second action took place on May 31st and June 1st, at the Centro Cultural dos Povos da Amazônia, in the south zone, and reached a record number of over 9,000 people.
