One of the most famous alfajores brands in Argentina, Cachafaz will open its first stores in Brazil.
The debut units will be in the Iguatemi and Terrazo shopping malls, in Fortaleza, capital of Ceará. The opening is scheduled for this December, but the date has not yet been confirmed.
According to the brand, there are plans to open 15 stores in different states of the country next year. In January, branches will be opened in Balneário Camboriú and Blumenau, both in Santa Catarina.
The family business emerged in Buenos Aires in 2001, founded by three brothers who sold the popular sweet in the neighboring country.
Round in shape, the traditional alfajor is made with two biscuits, filled with dulce de leche and covered in semi-sweet chocolate. There are other flavors, such as white chocolate frosting, cornstarch with grated coconut and chocolate mousse. In addition to these, chocolates, milk sweets and cookies will be sold.
