The five directors of ANTT (National Land Transport Agency) arrived at work this Thursday (10) with their e-mail box filled with messages from the Free Bus movement for the opening of the market, including for companies that operate via apps.

The group has the support of Abrafrec (Brazilian Association of Collaborative Freighters) and Buser, the flagship of this new business, which is in a dispute with traditional transport entities, represented mainly by Abrati (Brazilian Association of Land Transport Companies of Passengers).

The digital mobilization takes place at a time when the agency is preparing the new legal framework which, according to new entrants, contradicts the recent decision of the Federal Supreme Court to open up the intercity bus market by protecting large vehicles, making it difficult for new competitors to enter.

Abrati has already publicly positioned itself in defense of opening up the market, but considers that the new model, exercised mainly by Buser, is not allowed by the legislation in force because it mixes the individual sale of tickets and charter, which must be done from end to end. end, without stops and with passengers defined for each trip.

Through its advisory, ANTT informs that the regulatory framework is still under discussion until August 12th.

The forecast is that the new resolution will be published in November this year.

The agency says that the public hearing e-mail serves only to clarify doubts.
