Bus with football team falls off bridge in MG and leaves dead and injured

A bus carrying a football team fell off a bridge on the BR-116, near Além Paraíba (MG), leaving at least four dead. The accident happened early this Monday (30), when the victims were returning from a game in Ubaporanga (MG) to Duque de Caxias (RJ), the team’s hometown.
The vehicle carried 33 people, 28 of which were teenagers who played in the championship in Minas, in a youth category. In a note to the report, the Fire Department said it has no information about the height of the bridge where the accident was recorded. The name of the team that crashed was also not informed.
The deaths confirmed by the corporation are one adult and three teenagers, whose names have not been released. The bus carried the driver, four members of the coaching staff and the players.
He had traveled just over 300 km before he had an accident on the bridge, which crosses a small river. The rescue operation is carried out with the vehicle still upside down, but out of the water.
