A bus carrying Corinthians fans It fell in the early hours of this Sunday, the 20th, on the Fernão Dias Highway (BR-381), at km 525.4 of the BR-381, in Brumadinho (MG). According to the concessionaire responsible for the road, Arteris, the accident registers seven fatalities.
According to a statement published on the company’s website, the bus was carrying 48 people. According to Sport Club Corinthians, the vehicle that took fans who were in Belo Horizonte to support the team during the match against Cruzeiro, the night before.
The bus would have entered a curve, collided with the slope (inclination on the side surface to promote terrain stability) and, subsequently, overturned. The company did not comment on the health status of the other passengers. The concessionaire informed that it sent more than 20 employees, who are mobilized on site.

Sport Club Corinthians Paulista expressed its regret for the victims on social media. “Corinthians sympathizes with the families of the deceased fans and remains available to support them, as well as the other victims of the accident and authorities involved in the rescue and investigation of the facts.”
O Estadão contacted the Fire Department, the Federal Highway Police and the Civil Police, but has not yet received a response.
