Brazilians in search of the belt at Invicta 51, debut of One Friday Fights and KSW 78 shake up the week of Combat

Contract closed in December, time to actually start the partnership with Invicta, the main women’s MMA organization today. On the opening card, which takes place this Wednesday, the 18th, in the city of Denver, in the United States, two belt disputes involving the Brazilians Talita Bernardo and Ketlen Souza. In the main event of the night, Talita Bernardo from Rio de Janeiro faces American Taneisha Tennant, current champion of the bantamweight division. Still on the main card, Amazonian Ketlen “Esquentadinha” Souza, undefeated for five fights, faces American Kristina Williams, for the title of the flyweight category. Combat will show, starting at 10:55 pm, all the fights on the card, which also features the debut of Brazilians Elisandra Ferreira and Rayanne Amanda, facing American Marisa Messer-Belenchia and Canadian Katie Saull, respectively. The event is narrated by Rhodes Lima and comments by Ana Hissa. sportv3 also shows the first two fights of the night.

Also new to the Combate lineup for fight fans this season is One Friday Fights. The first event of the series, with muay thai and MMA duels, takes place this Friday, the 20th, in Bangkok, Thailand. In the main fight, the confrontation between the Thai Seksan Or. Kwanmuang, multiple muay thai world champion and Australian Tim Harrison. The penultimate bout features an MMA showdown involving two finishers: Brazilian Richard Godoy and Russian Alexy Lyapunov. Combat shows all six fights, starting at 9:30 am, with narration by Rhoodes Lima and comments by Luciano Andrade.

Think it’s over? On Saturday there’s more, with KSW 78, which takes place in the city of Szczecin, Poland, and puts face to face for the second time, the Polish Michal Materla, former champion and current fifth place in the middleweight division; and the American Kendall Grove, a jiu-jitsu specialist who returns after more than two years of inactivity. Bahian Kleber “Orgulho” Silva, the country’s only representative on the card, faces Poland’s Lukasz Sudolski in the duel that marks the debut of both fighters in the organization. Starting at 2:55 pm, Combate displays all the emotions of KSW 78, with narrations by Luiz Felipe Prota and Rhoodes Lima and comments by Ana Hissa and Luciano Andrade. sportv3 and the Combate profile on Youtube also broadcast the first two fights on the card.
