Brazilian Futsal team is called up for the Men’s Futsal Nations Cup – News of Brazil

Coach Marquinhos Xavier released, this Monday (7), the squad to compete in the Men’s Futsal Nations Cup, promoted by the CBF and the Sorocaba City Hall. The competition starts on Saturday at Arena Sorocaba (SP). Brazil, Iran, Paraguay, Japan, Colombia and Saudi Arabia are the teams participating in one of the main international tournaments of the sport.
“Brazil and the other teams will participate with full force. This will be the last major competition before the World Cup qualifiers in 2024. It will also be a unique opportunity for the public to closely follow the best players in the world and bring the Brazilian Futsal Team closer to the Brazilian people”assessed Lavoisier Freire, Futsal coordinator at CBF.

dispute format
The teams were divided into two groups consisting of three teams. Brazil, Japan and Arabia face each other in Group A. Group B will have disputes between Iran, Paraguay and Colombia. Teams will play each other within their groups, and the top two advance to the knockout stage.
Schedule
The Brazilian national team makes its debut on September 13 against Japan. On September 14th, they face Saudi Arabia. If Canarinho is in first or second place in the group, it will advance to the semifinal, which will be played on September 16. The title will be decided on Sunday (17).
