The governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), mocked the PSOL TV advertisement, in which federal deputy Guilherme Boulos says that “São Paulo can do more”.
The expression christened Tarcísio’s coalition last year. It was also the chorus of a jingle and the main motto of the campaign.
“It’s the only thing I agree with Boulos on: São Paulo can do more”, said the governor to the Panel.
The deputy says that he already used the expression in the 2020 municipal campaign. “I could then say that they are the ones who are copying me. I used it several times in interviews and debates.
In the ad, Boulos says, looking at the camera: “I know that, like us at PSOL, you also believe that São Paulo can do more. Come with us to build change. We don’t have time to lose”.
Tarcísio’s marketer last year, Pablo Nobel says he was “flattered” with the reference. “Boulos liked it so much that he invaded our slogan”, he said, in allusion to the fact that the deputy is linked to the MTST (Movement of Homeless Workers).
He is taking care of the pre-campaign for mayor of São Paulo by Ricardo Salles (PL). The psolist also aims to run for office next year.
