Bolsonaro says he will seek STF and sees judgment at TSE as headless – 06/30/2023 – Politics

Former President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro (PL), said this Friday (30) in Belo Horizonte that he will appeal to the STF (Federal Supreme Court) if he is rendered ineligible by the TSE (Superior Electoral Court). The statement was given to Rádio Itatiaia.
The trial will resume by the electoral court today. So far, three ministers voted for the ex-president’s ineligibility and one against. Bolsonaro is in Belo Horizonte for the wake of the former Minister of Agriculture, Alysson Paolinelli.
“I’m going to talk to my lawyers, and the appeal will go to the STF,” he said to the radio, when asked what he would do if he were made ineligible. “This trial has no foot or head,” he declared.
The former president responds to the action for having summoned ambassadors to criticize the electronic voting machines.
“I didn’t attack the electoral system, I showed possible flaws”, he said, to the radio, about the meeting. The action was filed by the PDT.
The process targets Bolsonaro and Walter Braga Netto, a former minister who was a candidate for vice on the defeated ticket of the PL to the Presidency in 2022. A majority has already been formed, however, against the ineligibility of Braga Netto – the four ministers who have already voted had this understanding .
