Body removes the position of leader of an employee linked to the coup – 02/08/2023 – Power

The Serpro (Federal Data Processing Service), linked to the federal government, removed from a position of trust an employee who participated in anti-democratic acts in the camp in front of the Army headquarters, in Brasília. The agency also instituted a procedure to investigate the conduct of the employee.

Saulo de Souza Santos, who holds the position of technician at the government data processing company, appears in the camp in images shared on social networks.

The deadline for completing the investigation lasts 60 days, and may be extended for the same period, “provided there is a proven need for the extension”. Serpro also says that all information from the preliminary investigation procedures is confidential.

“The investigation is taking place under the terms provided for in Normative Ordinance CGU nº 27/2022, with the purpose of collecting elements of information about the authorship and materiality of the complaint, in order to subsidize the decision regarding the need to initiate accountability processes”, says the Serpro, in a note.

In addition to being a coach, Santos acted as head of the sector. In view of the complaints, Serpro decided to dismiss the employee “from the function of trust and awaits the verification of the irregularities to follow or not with the accountability process”. He was removed from the role on January 26.

If the accountability process is installed, according to people with knowledge of the subject, sanctions can range from a warning to dismissal for just cause —according to the seriousness of the situation.

On November 26, Santos published a selfie on his profile on a social network. In it, he appears in the camp set up at the Army HQ, in Brasília, wearing a yellow T-shirt and a Brazilian flag on his back. In the background it is possible to see other protesters and a large flag of the country extended.

In a video that circulates on the networks, to which the Sheet had access, the Serpro employee appears again with a Brazilian flag tied to his body while walking through the camp in Brasilia. This time, he appears wearing a black shirt.

In the recording, he refers to the minister of the STF (Federal Supreme Court) Alexandre de Moraes as “Xandão” and claims that the magistrate censors the Bolsonarista Hipcritas channel.

“They made a tent here. The Hipcritas guys are fantastic. The work they are doing in coverage, even under censorship. Because Xandão is censoring the Hypocrites channel, where it hurts the most, censoring their pockets. But they resist”, he says. Saints.

In another part of the video, he points the camera at his face and says that the demonstration in the camp “is going strong, giant”.

On September 21, he also posted an image on his profile on a social network of the Esplanada dos Ministérios taken by demonstrators supporting former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) on September 7, 2022. In response to a comment, he wrote that he was in the manifestation and that the act “was top d+”.

The camp at the Army HQ in Brasília was demobilized on January 9, after the coup acts at the headquarters of the Three Powers. The Military Police of the Federal District and the Army Police cleared the area, fulfilling Moraes’ determination to remove all coup plotters camped in the area.
