Bavaria now opens for lunch, with new executive menu

Cantina Baviera, a traditional restaurant in the center of Curitiba, now serves customers at lunch time. But the news doesn’t stop there: in addition to the traditional menu – with the exception of pizzas and calzones -, the new opening hours also include an executive menu, served from Monday to Friday, with starter, main course and dessert, at the same time. price of R$89 per person. For those who prefer to enjoy lunch accompanied by wine, the menu with pairings selected by sommelier Arlei Kulik costs R$149.

One of the executive menu options is the Contemporary Capresi Salad with Arugula Pesto for starter, with Four Cheese Fettucine with Mignon Escalope as the main course and Ice Cream Pudding with Seasonal Fruit Syrup for dessert. To harmonize, the white wine Marquês de Borba, the red Chateau de Cathalogne and Porto Messias 10 years old.

“As soon as we took over the management of the restaurant we had this idea of ​​opening for lunch, because during the day the space is very beautiful. Reminds me of those European pubs. Unlike dinner, I always considered that at lunch we would have the freedom to innovate, and it’s been a lot of fun”, explains Márcio Borges, owner of Baviera, in an interview with Tribuna do Paraná.

In addition to the executive menu, the menu has other additions, such as risottos with different meat options and new salads and pastas. Another new feature is the extended opening hours on Fridays, Saturdays and holidays – on these days, customers can arrive at the restaurant until 1am, while the rest of the week service ends at midnight.
