Manaus (AM) – On the 26th of August, the show “A Princesa Cafuxa no Reino da Palhaçaria” wins another special performance in Manaus. This time, the Barravento Cultural Center will be the stage for the project “Cafuxa pelo Mundo (starting here!). The show starts at 7pm and is open to audiences of all ages. The Barravento space is located at Rua Jonathas Pedrosa, 1166, Praça 14, south zone (near Caixa Econômica).
This will be the second presentation of the Cultural Circuit “Cafuxa around the World (starting here!)”, a project contemplated by the Thiago de Mello public notice, from the City of Manaus. The creator of the project and who brings Princess Cafuxa to life, actress Ariane Feitoza, points out that the new presentation is full of humor and improvisations to captivate and leave its message for all children and adults.
“Each presentation is unique and special because it is born from a dialogue with the public. The audience is invited to participate and elaborate together with the character the direction of the story, a process of creation and collective creativity”,
commented the actress.
On stage, Ariane Feitoza is the clown princess and directs the circulation “Cafuxa pelo Mundo”. In this theatrical representation, the princess breaks the paradigm of eternal waiting for the savior so widespread in traditional fairy tales, in which beautiful princesses wait for the kiss of true love from their charming prince to free themselves from the witch or evil stepmother, after a lifetime whole of imprisonment and waiting.
The sound design is by Wilson do Carmo and the presentations have lighting by Roger Barbosa and Greyce Carlos as Stage Assistant. The production is by Interarte.
Conversation Circle
After the presentation, a round of conversation is planned to explore and reflect on the construction of humor in the female universe, their performances and roles in the most diverse constructions in a universe traditionally dominated by men for a long time. Proposing a discussion about a creative, reflective and personal look at the clown woman.
The conversation is mediated by Ana Oliveira, clown and cultural producer in Manaus. Ana is a Specialist in Management and Cultural Production and has a Bachelor’s degree in Theater with qualification in acting and directing from the State University of Amazonas (UEA).
