Sao Gabriel da Cachoeira (AM) – The singer Joelma announced on her social networks, this Monday (21), her participation in the 25th Cultural Festival of the Indigenous Tribes of Alto Rio Negro (Festribal). Due to health problems, the artist had canceled the concert schedule, but she is better and will return to the stage. The event will take place from the 30th of this month to the 3rd of September, in São Gabriel da Cachoeira (located 852 km from Manaus), Amazonas
In addition to Joelma, other attractions had already been announced by the Festribal organization: singer Felipe Lessa, Fernanda Brum, Mari Fernandes, Sayonara band, Júlio Nascimento, Uendel Pinheiro.
During the program, the event will also feature local attractions: genesis and ide bands, Xote com Pegada, Keila Castro, DJ Menor, DJ Vanessa, Julio Nascimento, Rafinha Show, Banda Tríade, DJ JC, Banda Du Cierto, César Menezes and Banda, Negão dos Teclados, DJ Jorge, Feras do Pagode, Paty Show, Feras do Cuximauara.
The Cultural Festival of the Indigenous Tribes of the Upper Rio Negro is considered the greatest cultural manifestation of the native peoples of the forest.
The Amazon municipality is located on the border with Colombia and Venezuela, and has the greatest indigenous ethnic diversity in Brazil: nine out of every one of its inhabitants belong to these groups.
“São Gabriel will offer visitors and its population, five days of festivities and celebration of indigenous culture in the form of music, performing arts, allegories and dances”,
informs the organization.
Not by chance, the municipality is also one of the few to have three indigenous languages recognized as official languages in the municipality, alongside Portuguese: Nheengatu, Tucano and Baníua.
Promoted by Água Cristalina Produções, the event will feature the presentation of the Tukano, Filhos do Rio Negro and Baré tribes, representing 23 ethnic groups, in five days of competition, celebration, culture, fun and faith.
The Cultural Festival of the Indigenous Tribes of the Upper Rio Negro has the cultural support of the São Gabriel da Cachoeira City Hall, the Government of Amazonas, through the State Secretariat for Culture and Creative Economy of Amazonas.
The event is also sponsored by Itaipava and Cabaré beers.
