Automakers lower prices after announcement of tax breaks for buses, trucks and passenger cars

Automakers began to lower suggested prices, after the announcement made by the federal government, earlier this week, of fiscal incentives to reduce the prices of buses, trucks and passenger cars of up to R$ 120 thousand.

Among the Peugeot models included in the measure are the new Peugeot 208 versions Active 1.6 AT (which goes from R$ 94,990 to R$ 88,190), Allure 1.6 AT (from R$ 99,990 to R$ 90,990) and Griffe 1.6 AT (from R$ 99,990 to R$ 90,990) R$109,990 to R$103,190) and Peugeot 2008 versions Allure 1.6 AT (from R$102,990 to R$98,990) and Style 1.6 AT (from R$106,990 to R$102,990).

Fiat said in a note that the package had an effect on the prices of six models and 21 versions of the automaker’s vehicles sold in Brazil, in some cases with discounts above those proposed in the federal government’s initiative.

An example is Pulse, which had a reduction of R$ 11,000 in the value of Drive 1.3, which now costs R$ 89,990. The Drive 1.3 AT and Audace T200 AT versions cost R$ 102,990 and R$ 109,990, respectively.

Renault was another automaker that announced an additional incentive to the package: the Kwid Zen is being sold at R$58,990, a difference of R$10,000 in relation to the previous price.

Jeep also announced reductions with the measure of the federal government, with the Renegade 1.3 Turbo or Sport reaching R$ 108,900 for PCD customers (people with disabilities) and R$ 94,501 for taxi drivers.

At Volkswagen, four models and 11 versions had price changes: two examples are the Novo Polo Track 1.0 MPI, which went from R$ 82,290 to R$ 74,990, and the T-Cross Sense AT, which went from R$ 116,550 to R$ $107,550.
