Athlete from Amazonas shines in the Brazilian SUP Race Championship and takes the lead in the national ranking

Pablo Cassado took the lead in the Brazilian ranking in the master category and won fourth place in the professional category
Rio de Janeiro – RJ) – Last weekend, the athlete Pablo Casado once again represented Amazonas in an exciting race valid for the national circuit of SUP Race, during the second stage of the Brazilian Championship CBUP 2023. The city chosen to host the stage was Búzios, in the Rio de Janeiro, and the disputes took place on Manguinhos beach.
Before the race, the Brazilian SUP Confederation, in partnership with the Federation of Rio de Janeiro, promoted the training course for CBSUP instructors.
Cassado was honored to contribute to the training of a new crop of SUP instructors, who will encourage the practice of the sport in a safe and proper way.
On Saturday, the SUP Race disputes were held. The race was led from end to end by competitor Luiz Guida, also known as “the animal”, who won first place. The Amazonian, in turn, achieved an excellent result, winning third place in the master category and a place on the podium for the first time in the professional category.
With these results, Pablo Cassado took the lead in the Brazilian ranking in the master category and won fourth place in the professional category, achieving the best result of an Amazonian in the sport.
On Sunday, the SUP Wave semifinals and finals were held. Pablo participated as a beach Marshall and had an amazing experience on a weekend full of SUP.
