Associations representing fintechs, crypto-assets and technology companies launch this Tuesday (11) a letter in defense of holding public tenders for the Central Bank and the CVM (Securities and Exchange Commission) to improve the current framework of institutional insufficiency .
The document is signed by Abfintechs (linked to fintechs), Abcripto (cryptoactives), Abipag (payment institutions), Abranet (internet), Init (payment transaction initiators) and Zetta (digital financial services companies).
In the document, the entities cite the reduction in the BC’s staff in recent years and the increase in the monetary authority’s institutional attributions without replacing these employees.
“Faced with this framework of institutional insufficiency and risk to the proper functioning of the National Financial System, the associations that subscribe to the document come, respectfully, to manifest their support for the contest for the admission of 545 new servants of the Central Bank”, they indicate, adding that the support applies to the CVM.
The associations say that the contests seek the fair adequacy of the bodies’ functional staff “in the face of the growing complexity of the demands in the Brazilian financial and capital market, essential for the country’s economic activity.”
