In addition to the pilots from Amazonas, competitors from Roraima, Rondônia and Pará were also present at the event.
The 5th stage of the Amazonense Motocross Championship took place in Manaus this Sunday (3), at the Tarumã Training Center (CT Tarumã) and was attended by riders from Amazonas, Pará, Roraima and Rondônia.
The tests that started at 8 am were accompanied by an audience of approximately 2 thousand people and for this stage the prizes reached R$10 thousand reais.
Despite the experience and skills of the visiting pilots, the Amazonians had great placements and showed that Amazonas also has a tradition in the sport.
In the MX1 modality the placements were as follows:
1st place: Jhonatan Tiradentes, from Manaus
2nd place: William Antunes, from Pará
3rd place: Kurt Rocha, from Manaus
4th place: Rigel, from Santarém (Pará)
5th place: Antoniel Melo, from Manaus
In the National Pro modality, the placements were:
1st place: Kurt Rocha, from Manaus
2nd place: Antoniel Melo, from Manaus
3rd place William Antunes, from Pará
4th place: Kelve, from Roraima
5th place: Orlando Simões, from Manaus
“The feeling of victory is something indescribable, very good pilots came from other states and we have several experienced pilots here in our region, being able to race at a level like this and conquer the highest place on the podium, is something surreal’, said Jhonatan Tiradentes, who won 1st place in the MX1 modality.
The event also had the support of councilor Elan Alencar (DC), who is always present and is the author of the PL that consolidates Motocross Sports Week as an official event in the city of Manaus.
The parliamentarian thanked the support of the mayor of Manaus, David Almeida, who is also a supporter of the sport. “Encouraging the practice of sports is one of the flags of my mandate. Practicing sports helps build an individual’s values and their relationship with society,” said the parliamentarian.
Apart from these two modalities, four more were disputed and you can check it out on the social networks of the ‘Amazonense Motocross Championship’.
