Antonio Tabet, who is a founding partner of Porta dos Fundos and was once Flamengo’s marketing director, will be one of the names at the head of GOAT, a sports channel that will be launched in Brazil on the 25th. programs will be officially announced in the coming weeks and can be followed on free platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, Instagram and Facebook.
The project will kick off with the transmission of pre-season games for Paris Saint-Germain, Mbappé and Neymar, Manchester City, current champion of the Uefa Champions League, Bayern Munich and Al Nassr, Cristiano’s Saudi team Ronaldo. The exclusivity deal was put together by sports rights agency IMG.
The first live confrontation will be on the 25th, at 7:20 am (Brasília time), with the exclusive transmission to Brazil of Paris Saint-Germain and Al-Nassr. On the 26th, at the same time, they face Bayern Munich and Manchester City. The goals, highlights and games in full will be available on the channel shortly afterwards.
The name GOAT is a reference to the expression “greatest of all time”. The term became popular in sports to indicate a player who is the best in history in his modality.
In addition to broadcasts, there will be content and programs produced by professionals in the sports market. The company also provides special events to publicize the brand.
Responsible for structuring the project, Ricardo Taves (former Corinthians, Flamengo and FC Diez Media) will be the CEO of the channel. Luciana Festi, ex-My News, leads the production and casting, while Alexandre Salvador, ex-Flow, will be the head of content.
The channel also has consultants from André Barros and Rafael Cappelli, partners of the On the Nose agency, lawyer and consultant Marcos Motta and soccer agent Guilherme Prado.
