Ana Moser blames the right and society for leaving the government

Former Sports Minister Ana Moser blamed the right and society for her dismissal from the federal government, which took place last Wednesday (6). In her place, federal deputy André Fufuca (PP-MA) was appointed as the new head of the department in a negotiation between the Palácio do Planalto and the center.

For Moser, the women who were part of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s government are victims of abusive, violent and misogynistic behavior, which is a characteristic present in our society.

“All women have suffered this in this administration since the beginning, especially on the right,” says the former professional athlete. “There is this strategy of attacking and diminishing the credibility and capacity of women”, said Ana in an interview with UOL News, on Friday (8).

Commenting on the exchange, she stated that she understood Lula’s decision to reduce female participation in his government. “These are not easy decisions for the president. It’s a search, it’s the art of politics of looking for balance and ways to move forward,” she said.

She also spoke about the “attacks” made against First Lady Janja da Silva on social media.

“She [Janja] There is a figure much more advanced in terms of image and visibility, an even greater target of this harassment, this violence, this misogyny that is a characteristic of our society, as well as racism and indigenous populations. Brazilian society has these issues that manifest themselves in various ways”, stated Ana.

Negotiation with the center

To seek political support in Congress, Lula formulated a ministerial reform to bring together parties from the center, such as the PP and Republicans. In addition to Fufuca, federal deputy Silvio Costa Filho (Republicanos-PE) was also appointed to a government portfolio. He will be responsible for the Ministry of Ports and Airports, which was commanded by Márcio França (PSB).

The party of the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Arthur Lira (PP-AL) will also command Caixa Econômica Federal. The Republicans are negotiating with the National Health Foundation (Funasa) government.
