Amazonian DJ Koka is one of the attractions of the Festival Mamba Negra, in São Paulo

The Amazonian DJ and multi-artist Koka will be one of the attractions of the Festival Mamba Negra, an event that celebrates the ten years of one of the most important parties in the Brazilian electronic music scene. The event takes place next Saturday, May 27, in São Paulo (SP).
The artist, who is one of the resident DJs of the Banana Frita collective from Amazonas, joins a line-up formed by names from the national and North American scene, such as Urias, Teto Preto, RP Boo, Nick Léon and DJ Swisha.
“The Black Mamba has always been a great reference for me. During Maomoon [festival de música eletrônica]I had exchanges with people from Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, and that was how I got to know some Mamba producers”,
account Koka.
“It was a very big surprise when, some time later, I was invited to play at Mamba’s tenth anniversary festival. I’m really looking forward to that moment.”
In the repertoire, Koka promises to show a bit of the mix of musical genres for which she is already known in the scene, such as house, techno and global music. “I like to mix different things – that’s why I say that I play ‘world music’. I’ve always seen Mamba as a reference, and that’s why I hope this is a moment of a lot of music and exchanges with the crowd”.
Consolidated in the São Paulo underground electronic scene, Mamba Negra celebrates its first decade of life with its first festival. The last batch of tickets is still available and more information is available via the party’s Instagram at @mamba.n.
