Manaus (AM) — Have you ever imagined participating in an open rehearsal with a big band and still knowing details of the presentation and arrangements? This is the purpose of the “Meeting with the Amazonas Band”, which will take place this Sunday (12), starting at 11 am, with free admission, at Teatro Amazonas.

Formed by more than 20 musicians and coordinated by conductor Rui Carvalho, the Amazonas Band is part of the Corpos Artísticos do Amazonas. She has already shared the stage with great national and international artists, in addition to hosting the Amazonas Green Jazz Festival, considered the biggest jazz event in Latin America. “The open rehearsal, which will take place next Sunday, intends to present the work of Amazonas Band, what the group does, what composition is, what arrangement is and how the work of rehearsing a work is processed, in addition to addressing aspects technical and aesthetic. During the rehearsal, in an informal way, the public will be invited to interact with the musicians on stage, as in a chat”,

comments the regent.

According to the Secretary of Culture and Creative Economy of the State, Marcos Apolo Muniz, programs like this one by Amazonas Band serve to awaken public interest in the musical production of Amazonas.

“Awakening the interest and turning the gaze of the Amazonian population towards our artistic bodies is essential for the culture of our state. And, at this point, the Amazonas Band makes a valuable contribution”,

says the secretary.
