Manaus (AM) — The Amazonian artist Giovanna Póvoas released, on Thursday (9), the first single of her solo career. With the song “Boca de Boca”, available on all digital platforms, the singer marks the beginning of her trajectory after the end of the “Chapéu de Palha” project, with musician Helder Cruz, with whom she gained prominence in the northern art scene since 2019.
In the process of rebuilding her identity, Giovanna started to adopt the stage name of “Uma Póvoas” on her social networks. The singer prepared a series of posts to “pave” the way and contextualize fans about the new phase in her career.
“It was a process of presenting contexts and going deeper with people. I felt like I needed to explain who I was first, so when the song came out, it made more sense. I was afraid of people’s reception, but talking about it was an exercise in courage and necessary to walk this new path”,

Dancing, the musical experience provided by “Boca de Boca” differs from what the now Uma Póvoas fans were used to hearing from the singer.

I wanted to connect these feelings to empowerment, sensuality, mysteries”, emphasizes Uma Póvoas.
Future works
The release opens the door to a year that promises to be musically eventful in the singer’s career. When asked about the upcoming news and the return to the stage, Uma Póvoas guarantees that the wait will not be long.
“I believe that 2023 will be an incredible year, and more releases will definitely come. By the way, in March we will return to the shows, and in April, another single should be coming for you, ”she said.
Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube, Apple Music and Deezer are some of the options to listen to the new single “Boca de Boca”. In addition to Uma Póvoas, the song is also signed by music producer Lucas Cajuhy and by André Felipe Oliveira, as co-author.
