Amazon Poranga Fashion offers free workshops in its last week of programming

Manaus (AM) – The Amazon Poranga Fashion program will feature workshops open to the public aimed at learning about subjects such as fashion and sustainability, which will take place between June 23rd and 28th, at the Povos da Amazônia Cultural Center.
In all, the event provides eight workshops, four of which have already been given in the first week. Now, in its final stretch, it offers the remaining four, with an audience of up to 20 people. To participate, prior registration is required.
On June 23, the cycle will begin with the Anatomy Drawing Workshop, taught by visual artist Davi Martins. The activity will take place from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, and aims to teach notions for the basis of fashion design: the design of the human body.
On Saturday, the 24th, it’s time for the Fashion Design Workshop, which will take place in the morning, from 9 am to 11 am. The workshop will be taught by fashion stylist Ramon Alada, responsible for the clothing design at Utopia Brasil and Casa da Sereia.
On the 27th, web designer Carolina Campos teaches about fashion entrepreneurship in the workshop “First steps towards e-commerce”. The workshop schedule will be from 1 pm to 3 pm, prior registration is required.
Closing the sequence of workshops, the Workshop on Basic Notions in Sewing Machines will be held on June 28, from 1 pm to 3 pm. In this program, seamstress Lôyde Abreu will teach students how to use the equipment safely and efficiently.
Amazon Poranga Fashion is an Amazonian event that seeks to foster entrepreneurship and the creative economy in the fashion sector. The program takes place with the support of the Government of Amazonas, through the State Secretariat for Culture and Creative Economy of Amazonas.
