During the qualifying phase of the 9th edition of the Brazilian Men’s Soccer School Championship, in Recife (PE), Amapá is being represented by the State School Dr. Alexandre Vaz Tavares, who in his first three games won two and drew one. The event is organized by the Brazilian Confederation of School Sports (CBDE) and brings together more than 700 people, including athletes, coaches and heads of delegation from the 26 states and the Federal District.
The first challenge for the ‘Alexandrinos’ was against Colégio Objetivo de Palmas (TO), on Wednesday (17), in which they drew 1-1. In the second match, on Thursday (18), the victory was guaranteed by 1×0 against Escola Estadual Claudizete Lima (AL). The last game, this Friday (19th) was against Colégio Nova União/COC (MT), in which the boys from Amapá scored their second victory by 6X2. With these results, the locals move on to the second phase of the competition.
The boys from State School Dr. Alexandre Vaz Tavares earned the right to represent Amapá in the competition after winning the state selection that took place in January. The winning team of the competition will represent Brazil in the World School Championship, to be held in July, in Morocco.
