The Amapaense Football Federation (FAF) launched this Monday (19) a booklet with information to avoid and combat match-fixing schemes in games of the Amapaense championships. The document aims to promote education and awareness through guidance on the subject.
This is one of the tools used by the FAF to deal with cases of manipulation. A common movement in federations across the country and which has the support of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).
“Our position remains in line with that of the CBF, in curbing acts of this nature in our games and banning from football those who are part of these schemes that tarnish the purpose of athletes, clubs and fans committed to the sport”, emphasizes Netto Góes, president of the FAF .
In addition to the booklet, the FAF already has the monitoring of the matches of the Amapaense Championship through the hiring of a specialized company, which serves via CBF. The FAF presidency is also aligned with supervisory bodies to curb any act of this nature in Amapá football.
“May we be united against the practice of match-fixing, which is one of the greatest threats to the fairness, integrity and credibility of our football. To this end, the FAF is on the alert and we advise managers and athletes who feel they are victims of this type of crime, that they can report the acts for proper investigation at the Civil Police units, MP-AP and at the championship ombudsman, available at e-mail. email [email protected]”, explains Netto.
