Amapa Table Tennis Championship moves on to the second phase – News of Brazil

The competition is part of the calendar of the Brazilian Table Tennis Confederation (CBTM), maximum entity of the sport in Brazil, to which the Amapá Table Tennis Federation is linked, also counting on a partnership with Sedel.
The first phase of the match took place on the 15th and 16th of April, at the High Performance Table Tennis Training Center, in Novo Buritizal. 14 athletes participate in the championship. Of these, six are from the female group and 18 from the male group.
In its beginning, on Saturday afternoon, the 15th, the competition was based on age, with the participation of those who fit into the Senior Male, Under-19 Male and Absolute Female categories.
On Sunday the 16th, in the morning of the second day of the first phase, it was the moment of confrontations by technical level, in which table tennis players from Rating A Female and Rating A Male, from the first division, and from Rating B Men, second division.
The competition consists of five stages. The second will be on June 10th and 11th, the third on August 12th and 13th and the fourth on September 30th and October 1st, in the individual follow-up. The final phase, for teams, will take place on the 18th and 19th of November.
The championship serves for Amapá athletes to score at the national level and as a preparation for those who will compete in the segment, such as the Brazilian Table Tennis Championship, which takes place in December.
