Amapá state deputies are aware of laws on land regularization and environmental licensing in Roraima – News of Brazil

This Tuesday (28), deputies from Amapá Júnior Favacho (MDB) and Paulo Nogueira (PT) got to know the structure of the Legislative Assembly of Roraima (ALE-RR). Understanding the laws on land regularization, environmental licensing and the work of the ombudsman were on the agenda of the meeting.
At first, the parliamentarians were received by the president of the Legislative Assembly of Roraima, Soldado Sampaio (Republicans). The meeting with deputies from another state provided an exchange between the two legislative houses to develop more public policies for the citizen.
“The visit is to get to know Roraima, the advances we’ve had in recent years dealing with laws, such as land and environmental regularization, our ecological zoning. At the same time, about our growth in the primary and productive sector. They came with the deputy governor of Amapá [Teles Júnior] to see up close our experience in what worked”pointed out Sampaio.
Roraima and Amapá have a similar reality. They were elevated to the status of a state through the Brazilian Constitution in 1988, so they share the same demands, as contextualized by the president. “In other words, we live with the same problems and seek the same solution, especially the strengthening of indigenous communities, our riverside population and the productive sector, corporate agribusiness, as well as agriculture. We have a lot to offer and learn from Amapá”, justified Sampaio.
Understanding and applying the land regularization and environmental licensing legislation will reinforce the work of the Agriculture Commission of the Legislative Assembly of Amapá, said deputy Junior Favacho. He chairs the technical group.
“Our intention is to seek to improve our knowledge and the legislation, make partnerships, cooperation and try above all to develop the Amazon, with sustainability, generating jobs and income for our population. I am delighted with the state and the Legislative Assembly of Roraima, everyone is paddling along the same path and we want to copy this model”, explained the deputy.
For Júnior Favacho, Roraima is an example of how agribusiness can be an important engine for regional development. The state has grown significantly in recent years and is one of the main grain producers in the North Region.
Deputy Paulo Nogueira is vice-president of the commission and leads the General Ombudsman of the Legislative House of Amapá. “Get to know and check with the segments what is working in Roraima to take to our State. We have the same feeling as the Legislative Assembly of Roraima in thinking about the development of the State through public policies and we seek to copy it. I am also interested in knowing the work of the ombudsman, how this service works to listen to the citizen of Roraima”, highlighted the deputy.
