Public Security in the State of Amapá received, this Tuesday, 16, an additional reinforcement.
The support comes after the appointment and inauguration of 202 new civil police officers, 83 officers and 119 agents, approved in the competition and able to enter public service. This is the second group called by the current management.
For governor Clécio Luís, this was one of the most intense training sessions carried out by the Civil Police.
“It was a course that took 12, 15 hours every day. They only had two days of rest, which was Christmas and New Year’s Eve. A heavy, exhausting workload, but one that yielded many results. The evaluations they received throughout the training course process were extremely positive. So, they were prepared with excellence and will now be part of one of the most important security processes, which is investigation”, considered the governor.
Candidates went through all stages of the competition, including the Training Course, which ended on Sunday, the 14th, with a surprise celebration for the students. There were 327 hours of classes, spread over 30 uninterrupted days.
The new employees will strengthen investigation work in the interior of the state and in the capital, as neighborhood and specialized police stations will receive reinforcement.
The general delegate of the PC, Cezar Augusto Vieira, said that the moment is historic. Not only because of the increased security, but because it is one of the best prepared classes at the institution.
“We will have one of the best staff, as this was one of the best courses taken by the Civil Police. They are fully trained men and women, motivated to enter public service”, he emphasized.
This was the fourth and final class of the public competition held in 2017, which has already hired 442 new Civil Police agents, officers and delegates, between 2018 and 2023.
Most of the approved civil police officers were already involved in the state’s public security, they came from other police forces, as is the case of the three ex-military officers, Diogo Silva, André Ferreira and Luciano Alberto. For six years, the trio was part of the Special Operations Battalion (BOPE), the Elite Troop of the Military Police.
“It is a great satisfaction and happiness to be able to complete another stage in life, to join this institution that is renowned in the state, has recognition. There were days of struggle, many left other jobs to dedicate themselves to the project and now they are being honored with this appointment. Although I was already part of public security, this is now a challenging name, but the course prepared us for this and we will face this new mission and, without a doubt, bring a good result to society”, emphasized Diogo
