On Monday (24th), the 9th edition of the Brazilian Women’s Soccer School Championship began, in Palmas (TO), and Amapá is being well represented by the São Joaquim do Pacuí State School, which in its first three games won two and drew one. The event is organized by the Brazilian Confederation of School Sports (CBDE) and brings together more than 700 people, including athletes, coaches and heads of delegation from the 26 states and the Federal District.
The first challenge (24th) for the women from Amapa was against Colégio Batista Mineiro (MG), in which the girls drew 2X2. In the second match (25) the girls from São Joaquim do Pacuí thrashed CEM E. Industrial from Taguatinga (DF) by 6X1. The last game (26) was against the Federal Institute of Rondônia – Campus Cacoal, in which the representatives of Amapá stamped the second victory by 5×2.
With this result, the team from Amapa finished the first phase of the competition in second place in Chave E and with a guaranteed place for the quarterfinals of the Silver Series. The first game is against Colégio Estadual Tsuru Oguido (PR), this Friday (27), at 9:15 am.
The girls from the São Joaquim do Pacuí State School earned the right to represent Amapá in the competition after winning the state selection that took place in January. The winning team of the competition will represent Brazil in the World School Championship, to be held in July, in Morocco.
