Allies disclose Bolsonaro’s Pix and ask for money – 06/23/2023 – Politics

Allies of Jair Bolsonaro (PL) used social media this Friday (23) to publicize the former president’s Pix and ask for fundraising to pay court fines.

The action involved from deputies, such as the federal Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) and the state Bruno Engler (PL-MG), to former members of the government who are still close to Bolsonaro, such as Fabio Wajngarten and Gilson Machado.

After leaving the Presidency, Bolsonaro began to accumulate monthly income that exceeds R$ 86 thousand. The value includes honorary president salaries of the PL and military and deputy retirements.

In recent weeks, he even had amounts blocked for payment of a fine for not wearing a mask in São Paulo during the Covid-19 pandemic, when use was mandatory.

In addition to accumulating fines resulting from lawsuits, the former president is being judged this month by the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) in an action that could make him ineligible for eight years. The trial began last Thursday and is due to end next week.

This Friday, deputy Nikolas Ferreira, Bolsonaro’s supporter elected in 2022 as the most voted in the country, asks his followers to contribute “with any amount so that Bolsonaro pays these fines and does not suffer any retaliation by the Judiciary”.

“Guys, you are all aware that Bolsonaro has suffered several fines due to legal proceedings and are trying to pressure him financially in order to obviously be able to inhibit him from continuing as an opposition. Bolsonaro. If you can help, I’m sure there are more than millions and millions of Brazilians who can contribute,” he said on Instagram.

State deputy Bruno Engler also published the former president’s data on social media and said that Bolsonaro “is receiving several fines in absurd processes across the country” and that “any amount already helps”.

Former Minister (Tourism) Gilson Machado was another who asked followers to help Bolsonaro with the deposit of money in his account.

Bolsonarist influencers echoed requests for financial aid to the former president.

Former Bolsonaro Communications Secretary Fabio Wajngarten also provided the former president’s Pix number on social media.

He claims, however, that “swindlers” disclosed Bolsonaro’s false data in order to raise funds and that the publication actually serves to provide clarification on this ongoing coup.

“Announcement: In view of the numerous questions we received, in order to eliminate any doubt and remove opportunists, follow data from the Pr @jairbolsonaro,” he wrote on Twitter.

Bolsonaro’s opponents mocked the initiative. Federal deputy André Janones (Avante-MG) was one of them.

“Bolsonaro receives almost R$ 100,000 a month, the family has real estate worth millions registered, bought with cash, and he is asking his supporters to send pix. It is not enough for all the evil he has already done, now he will hit the pix, is the ‘Urubu do PIX’ extreme right version,” he posted on Twitter.

In recent days, the TSE maintained a fine of R$ 90,000 against the former president, for irregular propaganda against the then candidate Lula (PT).

On June 13, the Justice of São Paulo ordered the blocking of BRL 87,400 from Bolsonaro’s accounts for non-payment of a fine for not wearing a mask during the pandemic. Another decision, however, unlocked more than half of that amount, according to the newspaper O Globo.
