Alap approves 256 propositions for Santana in the 1st itinerant session of 2023 – News of Brazil

The Legislative Assembly of Amapá (Alap) held, this Tuesday, 25, the first itinerant session of 2023, to discuss the demands of municipalities across the state. Activities began in Santana, which had 256 proposals approved during the session, among bills, motions, requirements and indications, which seek improvements in areas such as health, education, public security, infrastructure and social inclusion.

The plenary session took place on the court of the Augusto Antunes State School and brought together parliamentarians and the population with the objective of integrating the Legislative Power and the communities, listening to local demands and presenting propositions that bring solutions to the demands raised by the population.

“This is a great opportunity to be even closer to people, to listen to their wishes and so that we can seek solutions that directly influence the quality of life of residents. I am very happy with the participation of all parliamentarians, institutions, residents and public authorities to unite the legislative power with the population”, highlighted the president of Alap, dep. Alliny Serrão (Unity).

For the mayor of the municipality, bullet rock (PP), popular participation is fundamental for this interaction between the legislature and the communities: “It is very important for the population to get to know their representatives up close and know that they are here to vote on fundamental laws that impact the lives of all of us. We know that all communities have their demands and the approach of parliamentarians expands the conditions for these communities to have their demands met”highlighted.

The raised demands will be transformed into new propositions so that the solutions are given. According to the Deputy Governor, Teles Junior, there is a joint effort to meet these aspirations.

“There is a concerted effort by our government to meet what the population really needs. We are going to inaugurate the hospital in Santana between the months of May and June, significantly improving the population’s quality of life. I make a point of highlighting the initiative of President Alliny Serrão and all parliamentarians, in listening to the population without fear and, above all, giving a quick response to these demands. This is how democracy is built and good politics is done”.

In addition to the vice-governor, the president of the Municipal Chamber of Santana, Josivaldo Abrantes, Alexandre Sampaio, sub-Attorney of the State, representing the Attorney General, Thiago Lima, and other authorities.

Provided for in Alap’s Bylaws, the itinerant sessions can take place anywhere in the territory of Amapá. It is a mechanism that expands popular participation and brings the Legislative Power closer to the people. Traveling sessions will take place across the state once a month. After Santana, the second municipality will be Mazagão, 31 km from the capital and which has a population of almost 20,000 inhabitants.
