Raízes do Campo, a brand of agroecological products, opens a café this Saturday (6) in the Santa Cecília neighborhood, central region of São Paulo.

In addition to serving coffee produced by partner cooperatives, the location will function as a store for the brand’s other organic products, such as juice, chocolate, rice and beans, many of them grown by families from MST (Landless Rural Workers Movement) settlements.

Raízes do Campo’s main coffee is a blend of beans produced in the South of Minas by coffee growers associated with the Coopfam cooperative. At the café, it will be available in filtered and espresso versions.

The new cafe is located in an old house on Avenida Angélica and maintains most of the property’s original structure. The idea is to take advantage of the large space to promote events and workshops with chefs and baristas.

Raízes do Campo has existed since 2019 and, in addition to distributing products to some supermarket chains in Brazil, operates in foreign trade. An important source of income for the company, for example, is the shipment of green coffee to the Chinese market, which has been growing at a very fast pace.
