Against Ypiranga, Inter tries to maintain the momentum of victory

Before taking the field this Thursday (2), at 4:30 pm, against Ypiranga, from Erechim, in Beira-Rio, Inter’s management finally put an end to the soap opera involving striker Mikael. This Tuesday (31), the club announced the termination of the contract with the player, after six months of contract and just twelve minutes on the field. The bond would run until July this year.
Hired on loan from Salernitana, from Italy, the 23-year-old striker was out of space and had been suffering from problems with the balance. Aware of this, Colorado made a bet and presented Mikael on July 28th. Since then, he has lost 11 kilos, played for just 12 minutes in the elimination to Melgar in the Sudamericana, and was benched in three other matches.
A right ankle injury in the final stretch of 2022 practically ended any chance of the player having a streak of games. To make matters worse, Mikael received a booklet with guidelines to reappear with adequate physical conditions, something that did not happen. A recurring subject in interviews with management and coach Mano Menezes, the striker was left out until his contract was terminated.
Without many options for the attack, Mano now has Alemão and the young Lucca as alternatives and is in the market looking for replacements. For this Thursday, they should be on the bench, as Pedro Henrique will remain as an improvised starter as a center forward alongside Wanderson. Before the confrontation with the Erechim team, Colorado holds one last training session this Wednesday.
The team to face Ypiranga must be the same one that thrashed São Luiz, with eiller; Busts, Moledo, Vitão and Renê; Johnny and De Pena; Mauricio, Alan Patrick and Wanderson; Pedro Henrique. Who is available is Gabriel Baralhas, who had his name published in the CBF’s BID. With little time to recover the athletes and the poor conditions of the lawn at Estádio do Vale, stage of the duel with Novo Hamburgo, next Sunday, the tendency is for a mixed team for the next round.
