Against São Luiz, Inter seeks its first victory in Gauchão

Without much time to correct the flaws and remobilize the group, Colorado returns to the field this Saturday (28), at 4:30 pm, against São Luiz, from Ijuí, in Beira-Rio, for the 3rd round of the Campeonato Gaúcho. In the post-game press conference, Mano demanded more effort and competitiveness from his athletes.

“Our team is a total donation. It will only be able to deliver what we were if it is almost at its limit, with a lot of dispute. That was lacking in the first two games. Especially in the beginning. I think it ended well here, in behavior. I took this charge at halftime It is this detail that I find easy to adjust, but no less important”, he diagnosed.

Inside the field, Mano started the match by doing some tests in Santa Cruz do Sul. However, at halftime, De Pena, who started on the bench, was called in and Wanderson was put in place of Alemão, testing the two attackers from the side together in front. This change is not out of the question for the start of the match against São Luiz, this Saturday.

By the way, Alemão was on the agenda at the press conference. Questioned about the lack of victories, Mano justified that the team scored three goals in two games and said that the team could have done more and, consequently, won. “It’s not a lack of goals per se, but the lack of solution to the attack. And I didn’t say that someone is missing to replace Alemão, but that more Alemão is missing”, commented the coach.

For this Saturday’s game, Inter will only have training this Friday, since this Thursday the activity was suspended due to the storm that fell in Porto Alegre. The tendency is for Bustos to return to the right-back in Mário Fernandes’ vacancy and for the midfield to be formed by Johnny, De Pena, Mauricio and Alan Patrick.

The big unknown is even in the attack: Wanderson, Alemão and Pedro Henrique fight for two spots. If Mano chooses to give Alemão one more chance, Pedro Henrique will return to the bench. Now, if the technician prefers to put PH further ahead, with Wanderson open on the right, Alemão will be an option for the second half.
