Manaus (AM) – After the complaint made by state deputy Rozenha (PMB), the Port of Manaus decided to lower the amounts charged for the entry of users to the establishment.

The decision was announced after the deputy met with the administration of Porto, a few days after the case was taken to the plenary of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Amazonas. Now, anyone who needs to enter the site will be faced with a reduction in parking values, in addition to being able to pay with a card or pix. The site’s management also committed to qualifying employees to provide better services to users.

“I talked to the port’s management and realized that they didn’t know that their team was not treating people well. They were also unaware of how much their service was rejected by the people of the Amazon. It was in this way, by bringing the complaints to the attention of the administration, that we were able to make the port accept pix, credit and debit cards and still commit to qualifying employees”, said the deputy.

Rozenha emphasizes that the main mission of the Port of Manaus is to serve the population of the state, the simple citizen of the countryside, especially in the regions farthest from the main urban centers. For this reason, the congressman defends matching the collection of values ​​with the profile of the main users of the site.

“In the past, the port saw a lot of wealth to meet the demand for rubber. It was a place that served to anchor ships that made international lines to Manaus. Today, it essentially caters to the simple country man. The logistical importance of the Rodway must be equated with the financial conditions of the people who travel there”, he concluded.
