On view from Thursday, September 28th, at Teatro Prudential, in the city of Rio de Janeiro (RJ), the show O admirable sertão by Zé Ramalho brings the signature of this duo that eight years ago captivated audiences and critics with the assembly of the piece Caranguejo overdrive (2015). Plínio Profeta and Muato orchestrate the musical direction. With a cast made up of Adriana Lessa, Ceiça Moreno, Cesar Werneck, Duda Barata, Marcello Melo, Muato, Nizaj, Pássaro and Tiago Herz, the musical O admirable sertão by Zé Ramalho has dramaturgy structured into five modules. Named after Ramalho’s hometown, Brejo do Cruz presents the origins of the artist raised in the interior of Paraíba. Campina Grande is named after the city where Ramalho’s interest in music began. João Pessoa exposes on stage the lysergic journey of the artist’s life and the beginning of the effective creation of the composer’s work. Rio de Janeiro remembers the singer’s battle for a place in the sun in the music market, a time when Zé Ramalho went hungry and even became a prostitute. Finally, Popstar represents the glory achieved since 1978, the year in which the singer recorded his first solo album with songs such as Avohai, Chão de giz and Vila do sossego.
