the deputy Acácio Favacho (MDB/AP) defended, this Wednesday (31), at the Commission for the Environment and Sustainable Development (CMADS) the creation of a Joint Commission to discuss the exploration of gas and oil at the mouth of the amazon for the Petrobras. “We cannot make isolated decisions, this Commission has an obligation to create a Joint Commission, so that we can provide more clarity on this matter and correct referrals, so that we have correct legal and social criteria”he says.
Acácio formalized his dissatisfaction with the absence in Ibama’s opinion. “No technician has the right to base his decision without a study to back it up. The Bench of Amapá again charges the ten Ibama technicians, where is the study?”he asks.
The parliamentarian warned that a clear, frank and open dialogue between the ministries and the Petrobras. “If we want to make this long-awaited energy transition, it will be done by Petrobras. If we manage to plan, we have to know where this revenue comes from, in order to plan this energy transition, we need to show this legal certainty”explains.
The deputy gave one minute of his registration time to the councilor of Oiapoque, Marcelo Martins, to also comment on the subject. “We have the most preserved municipality, in Oiapoque we cannot fish or cut down a tree. We defend all of this, but our children are hungry too and want hope. We have fathers of families who were already employed and are now unemployed, we have people returning to need. We are in the far north abandoned as usual!”laments the alderman.
